Bill Rose, Representative of Pulse~LINK - President
Bill Rose is the founder of WJR Consulting Inc. advising companies on product and business development, market strategies, technology, and standards relating to entertainment networking. He has over 20 years of experience in the CE industry.
Prior to founding WJR Consulting, Bill was VP of Electronic Engineering at Leviton with responsibility for a $100MM product line. Other positions have included Co-founder and VP of Engineering and Operations for InfraVision, a Datacasting company, and Director of Advanced R&D for Coleco, creator of the Adam computer and ColevoVision.
Bill is very active in Consumer Electronics standards and Industry organizations. In addition to serving as the President of HANA, he is involved with numerous positions of influence including:
• President, HANA, the High Definition A/V Network Alliance
• Board Member, 1394 Trade Association
• Chairman, Consumer Electronics Association’s (CEA) Home Networking Committee (R7)
• Member, CEA Technology and Standards Council and Executive Committee (Past Chairman from 1999-2006)
• Member, CEA R4 (Video), R4.8 (DTV User Interface), R8 (Cable Compatibility) committees
• Chairman, 1394 Trade Association’s Marketing Working Group
• Past chairman, IEEE 802.22.1 Task Force (2005-2008)
• Member, IEEE 802.22 Working Group developing standards for the unlicensed use of TV Broadcast spectrum (White Space) for broadband distribution.
